EPCAD OPA Capacity Optimizer
The EPCAD-OPA®
Capacity Optimizer is a model-driven discrete-event simulation
solutions package that enables planners, business analysts,
and operations managers to solve their operations capacity
optimization problems. You can easily adapt a number of different
domain operating models using the EPCAD Simulation Profiles
Workbench to create operating model resource capacity schedules,
customer demand and operations plans, and other factors's
that incorporated into simulation models and executed.

The schedules and
plans generated from the business models are integrated with
the simulations profile data and simulated to generate finite
capacity schedules which help users determine effective capacity
requirements for delivering value to customers.

The revised capacity
plans generated from the simulation enable effective and efficient
utilization of the productive capacity of critical resources/assets
(e.g., workforce, equipment, material, and time), while improving
productivity, and ultimately increases return on assets. These
plans and schedules allow managers to assess the impact of
different resource allocation policies and strategies on staffing
levels and available equipment times requirements.
The application
supports visualization analysis techniques that enable the
simulation output to be presented in a simple and easy to
understand way not requiring users to have knowledge of complex
statistical analysis mathematics.
Users can determine
the impact of operating model and environmental factors on
business performance. You can change these factors one by
one, or in combination and simulate to determine the impact.
