RETIS DMM Studio™ - BPD

RETIS DMM Studio – BPD is a BPMN 2.0 based process-centric domain modeling and design tool. Users can easily create diagrams on which to define domain models expressed through process models, organization accountability structure and reporting models, resource policy models, and choreography models. These models can be validated through process simulation.

The tool incorporates a process simulation capability allowing processes to be tested and evaluated with respect to specified robustness and/or performance criteria.

Benefits and Features

The value provided by RETIS DMM Studio – BPD include:

  • Support for incremental and iterative process and UML data modeling.
  • Support for modeling organization resource capability and capacity.
  • Support for process simulation and validation of process dynamics
  • Export to execution and languages such as SPDL and BPEL.
  • Support for policy-based resource allocation modeling for process-enabler resources.
  • Stores models in XMI format enabling reuse of model artifacts.

Business Process Architecture

The process architecture defines the types of processes (such as value streams, business capability, business planning, and support resource management) that characterize a business domain. A process type that conforms to the architecture is expressed in terms of its inputs and outputs, goal/outcome, the resource capacity it consumes to produce value, and the type of value it produces.
